Roasted Chili Lime Nuts (Low Carb & Gluten Free)

I always have several kinds of nuts in my pantry because my family snacks on them or uses them in cooking almost daily. It's fun to add spices to everyday foods to make them more enjoyable, so I made some Roasted Chili Lime Nuts with an assortment of nuts I had on hand.

Making your own flavored nuts is a lot cheaper than buying them at the store, not to mention they taste better and aren't loaded with a bunch of chemicals. These nuts are a great snack to serve when watching the Super Bowl or just a great everyday snack that is low carb and gluten free.

Adjust this recipe to make it as mild or spicy as you like, depending on the amount of seasoning you put in it. This recipe is just the way my family likes it with a mild flavor of chili and a hint of lime.

Roasted Chili Lime Nuts
Low Carb & Gluten Free

3 cups nuts (Any kind is fine. I used almonds, salted peanuts, macadamias, and walnuts.)
2 tablespoons butter (melted)
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1/8 teaspoon ground red and black pepper blend

1. Preheat oven to 350.

2. Spread nuts on a cooking sheet.

3. Combine all other ingredients on a small bowl, then drizzle over nuts in the pan. Toss until all nuts are coated.

4. Bake approximately 10 minutes or until nuts are golden brown.

5. Allow nuts to cool. They may be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks at room temperature.

Love the seasoning!! I'm going to have to try this with your nut combination. I make something similar with pumpkin seeds and love it. This looks as good if not better!

This sounds really good. We eat nuts all the time too, and I love the idea of eating things that don't have a long list of stuff I never even heard of or can pronounce!! lol
Will have to give it a try.
Thanks for sharing it with us,
blessings, Nellie
